Daily Eye Care Habits
Protecting your vision doesn't require complicated methods. These 7 simple daily habits can make a big difference.
1. Follow the 20-20-20 Rule
Every 20 minutes of screen use, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds. The simplest and most effective eye care method.
2. Blink More
When staring at screens, blink rate drops from 15-20 per minute to just 5-7. Consciously blink more to keep your eyes moist.
3. Adjust Screen Position
Your screen should be 15-20 degrees below eye level, 50-70cm from your eyes. A screen too high or too close adds strain.
4. Control Ambient Lighting
Avoid using your phone in the dark. The greater the difference between ambient and screen brightness, the harder your eyes work.
5. Spend 2 Hours Outdoors Daily
Natural light is extremely important for eye health. It doesn't have to be exercise — walking or eating lunch outside counts.
6. Do Eye Exercises
Spend 2-3 minutes daily on smooth pursuit training or simple eye rotation exercises to relax your eye muscles.
7. Get Enough Sleep
Sleep deprivation causes dry eyes and eye fatigue. Aim for 7-8 hours to let your eyes fully rest.

You don't need to do everything at once. Pick the easiest habit to maintain and start there. Consistency matters most.
